Interested in contributing to marine estate management in NSW?
The Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW, the Hon Adam Marshall, and the Minister for Energy and Environment, the Hon Matt Kean MP, are inviting expressions of interest for membership on the Knowledge Panel for the following member positions:
- Aboriginal expert in Sea Country management (identified position)
- Economic expert in natural resource management
- Ecological expert in marine biological science
- Social expert in natural resource management
Under-represented groups are encouraged to apply including women, Aboriginal persons, persons with a disability, young people, and persons from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
The Knowledge Panel is an independent advisory body established under the Marine Estate Management Act (2014). The Knowledge Panel helps deliver a strategic, evidence-based approach to managing NSW marine and coastal waters and estuaries. It does this by helping the Marine Estate Management Authority (Authority) formulate advice for the Ministers for the marine estate. The Knowledge Panel is tasked by, and reports directly to, the Authority.

Expressions of interest are invited for independent member positions on the Knowledge Panel.
Applications close 5pm, Friday 19 February 2021 and must include responses to the selection criteria included in the Expression of Interest Information package (PDF, 121.71 KB).
