An educational video has just been released highlighting the need for a coordinated approach to sustaining and improving catchment and waterway health for the iconic Sydney Harbour.
Sydney Harbour is a working harbour that is also recognised as a place of great natural and cultural significance. It is a state, national and global asset and home to over 3 million people.
The video was created to support the Greater Sydney Harbour Coastal Management Program which sets out a long-term strategy for the coordinated coastal management of Sydney Harbour. The Program is at an important stage where the 21 councils in the catchment are considering their options for investing in the program.
The video was produced by the Project Team of the Greater Sydney Harbour Coastal Management Program. Members include DPE – Environment Energy and Science, the Sydney Coastal Councils Group, the NSW Coastal Council and the Parramatta River Catchment Group.
The NSW Government funded the video as part of the 10-year NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy.
