Everyone working on a building site has a responsibility to protect our waterways.

That’s why the Department of Planning and Environment have updated the Guidelines for erosion and sediment control on building sites in NSW.

These updated guidelines will help builders, certifiers, stormwater specialists, understand how to prevent erosion and sediment pollution and protect our waterways.

In fact, they apply and anyone working on construction sites less than 2,500m2.

The review of these guidelines has been conducted by NSW Department of Planning and Environment and funded via NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy.

View the draft guidelines and have your say via the NSW Planning Portal.
