Overview

A key goal of marine and fisheries management is to protect and promote the continuation of Aboriginal cultural fishing.

Current impediments to meeting this goal include knowledge gaps regarding the level of Aboriginal cultural fishing.

This project seeks to address these factors by engaging with Aboriginal communities and exploring methodologies that can quantify participation, catch and effort attributable cultural fishing at a local level.
