Overview

Aboriginal culture is the world’s oldest continuous culture. Aboriginal communities continue to preserve traditional customs and knowledge, which inform contemporary practices.

This project supports Aboriginal people to share cultural knowledge and practices of Sea Country.

The South Coast Sea Country School Education program showcases Aboriginal culture and supports primary school students learning about Sea Country.

The program includes online activities and field-based excursions led by Aboriginal Elders to experience activities such as traditional storytelling, basket weaving, tool making, fishing and preparation of traditional foods.
