NSW marine estate: Blue Health

What is the true value of the NSW coast to our wellbeing?

For many of us, being by the ocean brings a sense of calm, joy or connection that’s hard to explain.

‘Blue Health’ is the positive impact that coastal and marine environments, such as oceans, beaches, and estuaries, can have on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Whether we swim, fish, surf, dive, walk along the beach, or simply sit by the water, these benefits are something we all share but don’t often put into words.
