Webinar on erosion control strategies for macadamia growers.

Hear how we helped 50 macadamia growers reduce sediment and nutrient losses and improve water quality in coastal waterways!

Click here to register for a NSW DPI Clean Coastal Catchments (CCC) Webinar on Friday the 21st of May, 10:30-11:30 am 'An update on the outcomes of the CCC erosion control incentives program for macadamia growers.'

Kel Langfield from North Coast LLS will explain how landholders made changes on farm including new contour banks to improve drainage, and modified orchard configuration to increase sunlight between the tree canopy and promote grass cover to bind the soil and prevent erosion.

The changes will reduce the amount of suspended solids, nitrogen and phosphorous flowing off farms and into coastal waterways, estuaries and marine habitat downstream.

This CCC program was delivered in partnership with North Coast Local Land Services and funded through the NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy.

Join the webinar on Friday 21st of May to find out more about erosion management strategies and the benefits for the marine estate.
