Bidhiinja: restoring our oyster reefs is now on display at Ulladulla Library and Visitor Information Centre.

After a month in Port Stephens, the exhibition has moved to its first stop on the south coast, where it will stay until May 2.

Bidhiinja: restoring our oyster reefs is a new exhibition developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum in collaboration with our Oyster Reef Restoration team from NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI).

Bidhiinja tells the forgotten history of oyster reefs in New South Wales and the work underway to restore these important ecosystems.

This beautiful exhibition combines First Nations knowledge, western science, and design, including illustrations by exhibition artist and Yaegl woman, Frances Belle Parker.

Entry to the exhibition is free.

You can find out more about the exhibition here.

NSW DPI Fisheries will be supporting the exhibition with a series of local talks on the new oyster reef restoration and research project.

Keep an eye on our #nsw_ marineestate Instagram for more information on times.

Oyster Reef Restoration and Research is a DPI Fisheries project funded via the NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy.
