Overview

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is strengthening partnerships with government, community and industry to improve the management, incident response and rehabilitation of threatened and protected marine species.

Partnerships are being strengthened through:

  • establishing governance arrangements
  • working with other agencies to improve capabilities
  • formalising partnerships for rescue, rehabilitation and notifications
  • supporting the wildlife rehabilitation sector
  • establishing a process for Aboriginal knowledge holders to participate in marine wildlife events.
