Primary Teacher resources
The Marine Estate Agents program is aimed at creating a solid foundation for students that will inspire and foster lifelong learning of the marine estate within classrooms in NSW and beyond.
Through these resources students will journey through a range of coastal environments, learning not only about the value of these areas but also the pressures that they are currently facing. They will delve into a variety of lessons from threatened species, responsible fishing, catchment management to traditional use of Sea Country.
Tailored for Years 1-6, the program aligns with NSW syllabus subjects Human Society and its Environment (Geography) and Science, addressing cross-curriculum priorities such as Sustainability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures and Histories.
The content on this page will help teachers implement the Marine Estate Agents program within their classrooms.
It's free for schools, funded by the NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy and a key output of the NSW Marine Estate Education Strategy.
